Welcome to Bulkeley Middle School

The BMS faculty, staff, and I are committed to providing an appropriate learning environment that ensures ALL students the opportunity for success, incorporate the District’s mission, vision, and core values is founded upon a rigorous curriculum and accounts for the unique needs of the adolescent learner. The middle school years are a time of tremendous growth and discovery as our students are exposed to new and exciting material on a daily basis. They are characterized by newfound freedom and responsibility, increased academic expectations, physical development, as well as social and emotional pressure. All of the individuals who work with our students are caring, nurturing professionals who are dedicated to ensuring their success as they move toward high school and beyond.

We believe that parent involvement is a key component in the success of our students. With this in mind, we seek to maintain open lines of communication and form collaborative relationships with all of our families. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

The time spent in middle school is one of the most challenging and most rewarding periods in a child’s educational career. Working together, we can make a difference!
